Hundreds of people use fake doctors notes every day. Others just feign illness without a note.
If you are going to pretend to be sick, you want to choose a condition that will prevent you from performing major tasks, but at the same time, it should not be so acute that it requires emergency transport. A bad headache, the flu or a stomachache are good choices. Look up the symptoms of your illness so you will know how to fake it. Be realistic, you don’t want to make the mistake of trying to fake a ‘mortified toe’ like Tom Sawyer.
You can say you don’t feel well, but you should also look and act sick. Act like you are tired, miserable and cranky.
If you are going to say you have a stomachache, you don’t want to pig out on a huge breakfast. Someone who is sick will usually refuse to eat. It’s also a good idea to spend an excessive amount of time in the bathroom.
A person with a bad headache will often hold or rub his or her head and complain about lights and noise
If you have the flu, you will probably sneeze, cough, and/or run a light fever; maybe even shiver a bit like you have the chills. (The flu is a good choice because the symptoms of flu are not all that specific.) You can even say you ache all over or have a scratchy throat.
Don’t be overly theatrical or dramatic; this will sometimes invoke suspicion.
Remember, if you are feigning illness, choose a condition that is easy to replicate and look up the symptoms so you will be able to fake the illness appropriately without getting caught.
